# Adding Google Maps

Adding Google Maps to your site will benefit both you and your customers, providing your visitors with a detailed visual guide on how to find your company.

# Adding Google Maps

1. Firstly, add a block which contains a map from the **Contact** tab in our gallery:

...or as a standalone element from the **Elements** tab:

2. Also, you can choose the **Map** element in some existing blocks:

3. Regardless of the way the map has been added, hover over it and click on the "gear" to access the **Settings**:

4. Click on the **Address** field in the pop-up window to customize it. The information you enter here will be displayed in the address tool tip:

5. Scroll down the settings to choose the **Preset** — the theme style that will be applied to your map:

6. Open the **Map settings** section to choose whether the map controls or zoom on scroll will be visible to your site visitors on a live site:

7. Don't forget to [publish your site](/en-us/article/publishing-a-site-tgxmch/) for the changes to take an effect.
