Connecting LiqPay to your online store

LiqPay is a trusted service that instantly processes worldwide payments from Mastercard and Visa. On top of that, it supports Google Pay.

Connect LiqPay as a payment method to your online store so that your customers could purchase your products in any currency using all major credit/debit cards.

Important: You can set up payment methods on Pro and Trial websites.

Step 1. Getting the Publishable and Secret keys

Sign up or log in to the existing account on LiqPay.

Note: Add the Account name in your account settings to be able to process payments:

On the Home page, open Get of the production keys API section and copy the Publishable key and Secret key:

Tip: If you enable the test mode for the account, the section will be called Get the API sandbox keys.

Step 2. Connecting LiqPay to your online store

Open the Settings of the site and navigate to the Payment methods tab:

Click Add near LiqPay:

If you have the live keys, enter them into the Publishable key and Secret key fields in the Connection section:

If you're using a test account on LiqPay, make sure to enable the Test mode and paste the relevant credentials:

Important: If you don't yet have live keys for LiqPay, you should duplicate the test keys both in the Test mode and in the Connection sections:

Add a success redirect URL and a failure redirect URL:

This is a great way to present your Thank You page after the successful purchase. See the article Creating a Thank You page for more information.

Important: You should paste the links in the https:// format.

Add a title that will be displayed on checkout:

Enter variables and your text into the Payment reference field. For example, these could be Order created [order.date], [order.time]. Press on the button Show variables to look through all available ones:

These variables will be replaced by the actual data of each individual order.

Click Save to proceed with the integration:

Go back to the Payment methods tab and toggle on the LiqPay integration:

Finally, publish your website.

Now your customers will see the LiqPay payment option in the shopping cart:

Upon choosing the payment method, your customers will be redirected to LiqPay checkout. You can customize this page in the settings of your LiqPay account.

Note: Even if the payment has failed, the order will be saved in the Orders tab with Unpaid status:
