PayPal is available [in over 200 countries worldwide](https://www.paypal.com/pn/webapps/mpp/country-worldwide). If your country is not on the list yet, you can connect another payment service to receive payments. ||| ${color}[#f97700](Important:) Payment methods are available on Pro and Trial websites. In order to connect PayPal to your Weblium, follow these instructions: # Getting client ID and secret key 1. Open [https://developer.paypal.com](https://developer.paypal.com) and click on the **Log into Dashboard** button in the upper right corner; 2. Move to the **Sandbox Accounts** section and click on the **Create Account** button to create a developer account; ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/10-1_2vhdyq.png) 3. Move to the **My Apps and Credentials** section and и click on the **Create App** button; ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/10-2_15kh6n5.png) 4. **Create a name** for your PayPal app, select the developer account you created earlier and click on the **Create App** button; ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/10-3_vqoqj1.png) 5. Once the app has been created, you will be redirected to a different page, where you'll be able to **get a test client ID and secret key** credentials; ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/10-4_cyqag1.png) 6. In order to **get live client ID and secret key credentials**, move back to the **My Apps & Credentials** section, select the **Live mode** and then **click on the name of your app**, in order to be redirected to the page with the live credentials; ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/10-5_aj3ls0.png) # Activating PayPal in your site settings on Weblium 1. In your website settings on Weblium, go to the **Your Store** section, then to the **Payment methods** subsection, and click on the **Add** button next to **PayPal**: ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/paypal-angl-1_1lduej.png) 2. To connect PayPal in __test mode__, activate the corresponding switch **①**, then insert the test client ID **②** and secret key **③** into the required fields. To connect __live mode__ you need to insert your Live client ID **④** and secret key **⑤** into the appropriate fields. To the **Success redirect URL ⑥** and **Failure redirect URL ⑦** fields, you can add links to your custom success and failure pages you had created. ||| ${color}[#F97700](Important:) You should paste the links that start from `https://`. | ${color}[#1AA900](Tip:) To know how to add pages, check [this guide](https://help.weblium.com/en-us/article/adding-pages-and-subpages-xbuaj2/). Add a **title of the payment method** (8 ) that will be displayed on checkout; 5. You can also edit the name of the payment method **⑧**, which will be displayed to customers when paying. 6. [Publish](https://help.weblium.com/en-us/article/publishing-a-site-tgxmch/) your site for the changes to take effect. Done! Now your customers will see PayPal on their checkout page and will be able to pay for products and services using their preferred payment method. ###### Deactivating the payment method If necessary, you can hide the payment system without deleting it. For that, return to the **Payment methods** section, and in the **Connected payment methods** subsection, turn the switch off: ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/paypal-angl-4_1vzw7gg.png) # Connect PayPal to work in test mode You can connect PayPal in test mode to check the payment method's operation without using your bank card. 1. As stated in the first chapter of this article, on the PayPal side, go to the **My Apps and Credentials** section. There, in the subsection called **Sandbox API Credentials**, you will find your test data, namely **Client ID ①** and **Secret ②**. They need to be copied. 2. Return to Weblium and activate the **Test Mode** switch, then paste the previously copied data into the corresponding fields **①, ②**: ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/fa84b4d83a50e800/paypal-en-1_m1gup6.png) ||| ${color}[#F97700](Important:) The non-test mode fields marked with an asterisk below must also be filled in. You can enter the same sandbox credentials there if you have not entered data for real payments. 3. Save changes and [publish](https://help.weblium.com/en-us/article/publishing-a-site-tgxmch/) your website. 4.
