# File download

The file download feature allows your visitors to download a file straight from your site by clicking on a particular element. Files can be downloaded to visitors’ devices or be opened in a new browser tab.

# File download

1. Click on the needed element and press on the "gear" to access its settings:

2. In the **Action** field, choose the **File download** option from the dropdown:

3. Then click on the **Select file** button:

4. Press the **Upload file** and select the relevant file from your device:

||| ${color}[#f97700](Important:) Supported formats: .ZIP, .P7S, .DOC, .DOCX, .XLS, .XLSX, .PPT, .PPTX, .PDF, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, .SVG, .STEP, .STP, .SLDPRT, .STL, .DXF, .IPT, .3MF, .3DXML, .PRT, .SAT. Maximum file size: 100 MB for images and .pdf files, 15GB for the rest. 

5. Choose the uploaded file in the next window:

6. [Publish your site](https://help.weblium.com/en-us/article/publishing-a-site-tgxmch/) for the changes to appear live.
