# Purchasing a paid subscription with a promo code

Paid subscription allows you to connect a custom domain, become visible in the search results, remove all Weblium mentions and add custom code. If you have a promo code for a subscription on Weblium, you can use it for the new purchase.

### Step 1. Clicking on the Upgrade button

You should first find and click on the **Upgrade** button — these buttons are placed all across your account, site settings, or editor. 

1. To purchase the subscription, open your account dashboard and click **Upgrade** at the top left corner of the site preview:

2. You can also purchase a paid subscription from the site's settings. For that, open the **Settings** of your site and click on **Upgrade** button at the top of the left menu:

3. Besides, you can purchase a subscription directly in the editor without interrupting the site creation process:

### Step 2. Redeeming your promo code

1. Upon clicking on the button, choose the billing cycle — annually or monthly — for your subscription on the payment page and click **Upgrade**:

||| ${color}[#f97700](Important:) Promo code may be relevant for a particular subscription only. For instance, 10% off a yearly subscription. Make sure that you choose the eligible plan. 

2. In a pop-up window click on **Apply coupon**:

3. Enter your code in the corresponding field and click on the arrow to verify the promo code:

4. If the promo code is active, the price will change instantly:

5. If the promo code you add is inactive, you will receive an error message:

###### In case you see any error, check out the possible reasons below:

* You haven't entered a promo code correctly — make sure to copy it without any spaces or excess symbols, and with the relevant uppercase or lowercase.  
* The promo code has expired — note that promo codes are usually active for a certain period of time.
* This promo code can't be applied for the chosen subscription — to see which items are available for the promo, check the promo terms.
* The code you entered has already been redeemed by you or someone else.

### Step 3. Finalizing your purchase  

1. Choose your payment method (Credit Card or PayPal) in the pop-up window, enter your payment details and hit **Subscribe**:

2. Wait for a few seconds until the system processes your payment:

3. You will receive the confirmation window if your payment has been successful:

4. You will also see the list of all new features that you have acquired with the Pro subscription:

5. Once the website gets a paid subscription, the label asking to upgrade gets removed:
