Purchasing a domain

A custom domain name like domain.com will allow you to gain credibility and recognition among the customers and also to improve your site's traffic. In essence, sites under personal domains appear higher in the search results than others.

You can purchase a domain for your site with a yearly or monthly subscription straight from Weblium.

Tip: Annual Pro subscription includes a free domain for 1 year. For more info, see the Getting the domain included in Pro subscription article.

Purchasing a domain

For that, open the Settings of your site, navigate to the Domain tab and click on Buy a domain:

Important: This feature is available for Pro sites only.

Enter the needed domain name in the corresponding field and click on Search:

Important: The "iwantthisdomain" domain name shown in the screenshot above is the example used in this article. Instead of this name, you need to enter the domain name that you would like to see in your site link (the site link is displayed at the top of the page in the address bar). After buying a domain, its name cannot be changed.
Note: You can get a domain with one of the following extensions: .com, .org, .net, and .biz.

If the domain isn't included in the subscription, you will be offered to purchase it. For that select a domain and click Buy:

Check the initial and the renewal price in the pop-up window and click Buy:

In a new window, you will be asked to use the main payment method to pay for the domain. In case you want to add a new method or select another from the existing ones in your account, click on Edit. To complete the purchase, click Pay and Subscribe:

After the system has processed your payment, publish your site and let your records pass the propagation period.

Note: It may take up to 24-48 hours for the records to propagate worldwide. This is a standard process applicable for all domains. During this time, the connection may not be stable, or the site may not be available on all devices.
Important: Any domain name registered with Weblium can be assigned and used only with Weblium websites. In order to change the name servers or point the domain name to any external hosting provider, you'll need to transfer your domain name away from Weblium.
