Copying blocks

You can copy blocks so you don’t have to create identical structures from scratch—for example, to reuse sections with contact information, reviews, or calls to action on different pages. Each block copy is independent, so you can edit it for a specific page without affecting the others.

Tip: You can make a block global so that its copies on different pages are synchronized with each other.

Note: When you copy a block or element for the first time, you will need to grant Weblium access to the clipboard. For more details, see the article on copying elements.

Important: Copying/moving is currently unavailable for global headers and footers. For global headers, you can first create a duplicate of the block using the Duplicate option (it is important to select that the duplicate be added only to the current page) and then work with this non-global block.

Important: It is currently not possible to copy/move blocks from/to the Store pages.

Copying a block

Hover over the block you want to copy, click the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Copy from the dropdown menu:

Go to the desired page, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the block where you want to place the copied block, and select Paste from the dropdown menu:

Tip: You can copy blocks to other pages on your current site, to other sites, and even to sites in other accounts.

Tip: You can reorder blocks on a page; to do this, follow our instructions.

Moving a block to another page

If you want to not just copy, but completely move a block from one page to another, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the block and select the Cut option:

The block will immediately disappear from the current page. Next, go to the desired page, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the block where you want to place the cut block, and select Paste from the dropdown menu:

Tip: You can reorder blocks on a page; to do this, follow our instructions.
