Connecting Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows you to manage tags (such as measurement and marketing optimization JavaScript tags) on the website.

Follow the instructions below to connect Google Tag Manager to your site.

Important: This feature is available only for Pro sites.

Step 1. Accessing Google Tag Manager ID



For that, open Google Marketing Platform and click Start for free to create your new Google Tag Manager account:



Click on Create account in the opened window:



Fill in the fields with the information about your company — add the domain name, choose the Web as a target platform and click Create:



Copy your Google Tag Manager ID in the format GTM-XXXXXXX in the pop-up window:

Note: Your Google Tag Manager ID must be unique. The code that is presented on the screenshot above is just an example.

Step 2. Connecting Google Tag Manager



Open the Settings of your site and navigate to the Analytics tab:



Click on the Google Tag Manager tab and paste the requested ID in the corresponding field:



Click Connect and publish your site for the changes to appear live.
