Managing DNS records
If you connected your domain via NS method or purchased your domain through Weblium, all further changes to your domain will be done via our platform.
To manage the domain, you can add and remove the necessary domain records in the DNS section of your account. To gain access to it, follow the steps below.
Note: Make sure that your domain connection is successful. After you've changed your NS and the propagation period ends, the status of the domain in your account should be "Connected". Thereafter, you can manage your DNS.
Important: In the DNS settings, there will be two technical records that are necessary for the domain to work. Do not delete or edit them, you can learn more about them in the following section of the article.
For that, open the Settings of your site and navigate to the Domains tab:
Hover over your domain, click on the three dots in the corner and choose Manage DNS Records option in the drop-down menu:
In the new window click on the Add new DNS record:
Select the relevant type of the record you want to add, write down the needed Host name and where it should be pointed to:
Tip: You can add A, AAAA, MX, CNAME or TXT record to your domain via our panel. Also, if you need to add a SRV record, you can contact our support via chat or email support@weblium.com. We can add such a record based on the instructions provided to you by a third-party service.
Click Save and let the records pass the propagation.
Note: You can delete or edit your existing records here:
When you connect or purchase a domain, two records will be automatically added to its DNS settings - ALIAS and CNAME. They are necessary for the domain to work correctly with the platform, so do not edit or delete them.
If you did, you can find these records below and re-add or edit them:
Record type: ALIAS.
Host: leave blank.
Directed to: dns.sdata.app
Record type: CNAME
Host: www
Directed to: @
Note: please note that after any changes to the records, whether it is editing or adding a new record, they do not update instantly. They always require time to update.
