Adding a countdown

A countdown block serves for displaying backward counting to indicate the time remaining before an event that is scheduled to occur. Use countdown to announce the discount period or special offer, estimate the time left before the launch of a new product, etc.

Follow the instructions below to see how you can set up the countdown on your site.

Tip: The countdown block suits well for creating a pop-up window. Learn more about the pop-ups functionality in the Adding and customizing a pop-up article.

Adding a countdown



Add a Countdown element to an existing block by following the steps in the Adding elements article:

Press on the countdown element to set the final date:

To edit the countdown, click on the element itself and press "gear" to access its settings:

In the General tab you can change the countdown type and date options:

Also, in the General tab, you can set the period for updating the countdown. To do this, click the Period button and select “Loop countdown” in the Action after countdown section:

Navigate to the Content tab in order to rename the countdown labels:

Publish your site for the changes to take effect.
