Activating the online store and adding products

An online store is a great opportunity to present your products on the site and start receiving orders from visitors.

With Weblium online store, you can add photos, a name, a price, availability, and description of your products. Moreover, you can choose where to place these products on the site — adding product cards is possible for almost any block in the editor.

Follow the instructions below to add and set up your products for an online store.

You can also check our video tutorial on how to launch your store:

Important: An online store is available for Pro sites only.

Activating the online store on your site

To install the online store, go to the global site settings and opt for the Your store tab. After that, click on the Connect button to see your online store in action:

Once you connect a store, we'll automatically generate a "shop" page and add sample products.

Tip: The payment methods section is a part of Your Store functionality, so it only opens after installing it.

Note: Online store is linked to a certain website. Thus, if you need multiple websites with online stores, you'll need to create and manage each store separately for each website.

Adding products to the online store

First, you need to add products in the site settings and then place them in the editor.

Note: Currently, the maximum number of products in the store is limited to 10 000 items (for product options, each variant counts as a separate product).

Open the site's Settings, expand the Your store tab, and click on the Products section:

Template products are created in the store by default. You can either delete or edit them. To do this, select an existing product in the catalog and click on the three dots next to it:

To create a new product, click the Add Product button:

In the new window, fill in the fields and add the product image(s) in the General tab:

Tip: The maximum image size is 1 MB; supported formats are .jpg or .png. You can also download up to 10 images for one product and set one of them as the main one. If you want to add a video to a product, please refer to the Adding product videos article.

The product name and SKU are the only required fields, but we recommend adding comprehensive information about the products so that site visitors can make the best choice. The requirements for field values and their descriptions can be found by hovering over the question mark next to the corresponding field. For more information on editing product descriptions in the "General", "SEO", "Related Products", and "Product Options" tabs, see the Editing Products in Your Store article.

Once the card is created, the product will have the "Draft" status. Thus, the product and its details will remain in the site settings but will not be available for adding to the block in the editor. If you are ready to publish a product in the catalog, change its status to Published:

You can change product visibility back to Draft at any time.

Tip: The Changing product availability in the online store article will help to indicate the availability of products.

After adding a new product or editing an existing one, do not forget to click the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen:

You can find an automatically generated product code in the product card. This is a unique identifier for each product and its variations. The product code can be used by customers to quickly find the product in the store or to order by phone:

Note: Only the product code is displayed in the product details on the published site. The SKU is visible to the owner only in the store settings.

There is an option to leave notes about the product in its settings. These notes will only be visible to you and will not appear on the live site:

You can also easily find a product in the catalog by its name or SKU:

Working with the products catalog

To find a list of all the products you have added to your store, go to the Site Settings, expand the Your store tab, and click on the Products section in the left navigation menu. Here you can manage each product individually or apply bulk editing to change a large number of products at once.

To delete, duplicate, or edit an existing product in the catalog, click on the three dots next to it and choose the necessary action:

If you have multiple products in your catalog, you can work with them at the same time with the help of the bulk edit feature. Select the products by clicking on the checkbox and choosing an action from the dropdown:
