Importing products from Your Store to Facebook Commerce Manager

Facebook Commerce Manager is a helpful tool to expand your store and attract new customers from Facebook and Instagram. By following these steps, you can connect Facebook Commerce Manager to your site.

Important: This option is available for Pro sites only.

Setting up Facebook Commerce Manager

First, you’ll need to sign up to Facebook Commerce Manager. If you don't have an account, you can create one by clicking on the CREATE ACCOUNT button in the top right corner;

Fill out all the data regarding your account and press Submit:

In the account, open the Catalogs section and click Add. Here you can either request access to the existing catalog, or create a new one:

Tip: To add an already existing catalog, you'll need to obtain permission from the catalog owner.

Create a Name for the catalog, select its type and then click on Create a directory:

Select your account and toggle Catalog management and Creating advertising, then click on the Assign button below:

Done! Now you have your first catalog and it is time to start adding the products to Facebook Commerce Manager.

Adding products from the site

In the Store settings, open the Sales channels section and click on Add in front of Facebook & Instagram Commerce Manager:

Click on Download XML if you want to download the file with the data about your site and products. Or copy the link of the file:

Tip: If you have a big file that exceeds 100 MB or you want to use a link without downloading the file, please follow this guide.

Return to your Facebook Commerce Manager account, open Catalogs and choose Add Objects:

Here, in Items, press Add products and select Add several products:

In the newly opened window, choose Data feed to upload your file with the products to the Facebook Commerce Manager:

And select Start:

Fill the form by opting Yes and clicking More:

Next, pick the file you downloaded from Weblium and upload it with More:

Tip: You can upload a file in CSV, TSV or XML format (RSS/ATOM) up to 100 MB in size.

After it has been uploaded, you can edit its properties, such as Name of the data feed, File, Schedule and Currency. Proceed with More.

On the last step, we can edit the columns and see the settings for them. If you like what you see, go ahead and press Download:

After the file has been uploaded, you will see a full report on how many products were uploaded to Commerce Manager.

Done! Now you can access all the uploaded products in the Items section of your Catalog. Here you can search and manage your products for further display on Facebook and Instagram.
