Connecting Mollie to your online store

Mollie is a popular European payment service that allows you to accept payments in various ways, making the shopping experience on your website quick and convenient. Mollie supports a large number of payment methods, including Apple Pay, Mastercard and Visa bank cards, PayPal, Klarna, iDEAL, and many others.

Important: Payment methods are available on websites with paid and Trial subscriptions.

Connecting Mollie to an online store



If you already have a Mollie account, follow this link to log in.

If you don't have an account, register using this link.

Log in to your account, and on the main page in the upper right corner, click on the More button:


Next, select Developers from the drop-down menu:


After this, you will see your Live API key:

In your website settings on Weblium, go to the Your Store section, then to the Payment methods subsection, and click on the Add button next to Mollie:


Paste your Live API key ① into the appropriate field:


To the Success redirect URL ② and Failure redirect URL ③ fields, you can add links to your custom success and failure pages you had created.

Important: You should paste the links that start from https://.

In the Payment reference field , you can specify additional data transferred to Mollie along with the order. You can click on the Show variables button:



...and copy the variable from there, then paste it into the payment reference field. When ordering, instead of the specified variable, the required value will be substituted (order number, time, site domain, etc.) and transmitted as a payment description to Mollie:


After all the fields are filled in correctly, save the changes:

Publish your site for the changes to take effect.

Deactivating a payment method

If necessary, you can hide the payment system without deleting it.
For that, return to the Payment methods section, and in the Connected payment methods subsection, turn the switch off:


Connect Mollie to work in test mode



You can connect Mollie in test mode to check the payment method's operation without using your bank card.

Log in to your account.

Similar to the previous section, you need to click on the More button.
Then you need to click on Test mode to activate it and go to the Developers tab, where you will see your Test API key:


Return to Weblium and activate the Test Mode switch, then paste the previously copied key into the corresponding field :


Important: The non-test mode fields marked with an asterisk below must also be filled in. You can enter the same sandbox credentials there if you have not entered data for real payments.

Save changes and publish your website.

After setting up the test mode correctly, you can place a test order in your online store, where after filling out the shopping cart, you will see a payment page similar to this:
