Connecting PayPal as a payment method
PayPal is a reliable and convenient payment service that helps to easily accept and process payments in your online store. PayPal is available in over 200 countries worldwide. If your country is not on the list yet, you can connect another payment service to receive payments.
Important: Payment methods are available on Pro and Trial websites.
In order to connect PayPal to your Weblium, follow these instructions:
Open https://developer.paypal.com and click on the Log into Dashboard button in the upper right corner;
Move to the Sandbox Accounts section and click on the Create Account button to create a developer account;
Move to the My Apps and Credentials section and и click on the Create App button;
Create a name for your PayPal app, select the developer account you created earlier and click on the Create App button;
Once the app has been created, you will be redirected to a different page, where you'll be able to get a test client ID and secret key credentials;
In order to get live client ID and secret key credentials, move back to the My Apps & Credentials section, select the Live mode and then click on the name of your app, in order to be redirected to the page with the live credentials;
In your website settings on Weblium, go to the Your Store section, then to the Payment methods subsection, and click on the Add button next to PayPal:
To connect PayPal in test mode, activate the corresponding switch ①, then insert the test client ID ② and secret key ③ into the required fields. After that, copy this data into the ④ and ⑤ fields:

To connect live mode you need to insert your Live client ID ④ and secret key ⑤ into the appropriate fields. In this case, the test mode must be turned off ①.

To the Success redirect URL ⑥ and Failure redirect URL ⑦ fields, you can add links to your custom success and failure pages you had created.
Important: You should paste the links that start from https://.
Tip: To know how to add pages, check this guide. You can also learn how to customize a "Thank you" page in this article.5. Add a title of the payment method (8 ) that will be displayed on checkout;
You can also edit the name of the payment method ⑧, which will be displayed to customers when paying.
After all the fields are filled in correctly, save the changes:
Note: You can find out about available currencies here.
Important: The currency in your PayPal account must match the one specified in the store settings on Weblium.
Publish your site for the changes to take effect.
Done! Now your customers will see PayPal on their checkout page and will be able to pay for products and services using their preferred payment method.
If necessary, you can hide the payment system without deleting it.
For that, return to the Payment methods section, and in the Connected payment methods subsection, turn the switch off:
You can connect PayPal in test mode to check the payment method's operation without using your bank card.
As stated in the first chapter of this article, on the PayPal side, go to the My Apps and Credentials section. There, in the subsection called Sandbox API Credentials, you will find your test data, namely Client ID ① and Secret ②. They need to be copied.
Return to Weblium and activate the Test Mode switch, then paste the previously copied data into the corresponding fields ①, ②:
Important: The non-test mode fields marked with an asterisk below must also be filled in. You can enter the same sandbox credentials there if you have not entered data for real payments.
Save changes and publish your website.
After setting up the test mode correctly, you can place a test order in your online store, where after filling out the shopping cart, you will see a payment page similar to this:

If necessary, you can hide the payment system without deleting it.
